On the way to SAP S/4HANA some of the features that are used today come from SAP ERP – and are therefore provided as a compatibility pack to be used on S/4HANA.

A compatibility pack is a version of a standard SAP Business Suite software product that is compatible with SAP S/4HANA. Customers that have licensed the related SAP Business Suite software product can obtain rights to use the SAP S/4HANA compatible version (at no additional license fee) of the product on their SAP S/4HANA installation.

All information from SAP Compatibility Scope Matrix was integrated in CrystalBridge Analysis in the S/4 Topics to provide customers an insight into compatibility scope items, related documentation and linkage to simplification items.

With the "View details" icon you can find more details for a Compatibility Scope item, like related Simplification Item(s), SAP Business Impact note(s), alternative solutions documentation and other linked SAP documents.

In case a Compatibility Scope items is related to one or multiple Simplification Item(s) you can access them via the icon “View Simplification Items”. They will be grouped and shown in the S/4 Simplification Items Analysis. Through the results of the relevancy check of Simplification Items provided in the S/4 Simplification Analysis, a Compatibility Scope Item is evaluated “relevant, not relevant or manual check required”.
